(Cookie - more like coookeee! with extra enthusiasim - is one of his favorite words as of late, despite the fact that he generally doesn't like sweet things. But Peppermint Joe Joe's! Those are a different story.)
It was quiet for a few minutes - a strange occurance since with two little boys, our house is rarely so anymore.
I found him amidst the cookies, newly purchased from Trader Joe's. When he saw me walking towards him (towards my camera, actually), he grabbed another & shoved it quickly in his mouth - the entire thing! - while staring right at me.
Smart boy.
I couldn't blame him, & was actually a little jealous (I miss chocolate, & dairy, & gluten...). I fully plan on freezing a few boxes of Joe Joe's so that I can enjoy a few when I'm done nursing West (which basically means next Christmas, so why even bother with the freezer). Sigh.
And because he is my son, he stacked them in a neat little pile when he was finished snacking.
I love this post! How adorable...finding your little man raiding the cookies...at 2 years old! I love the second picture with his little ankles crossed...reminds me of one of my 3 year old grandsons - Benjamin. I have to agree about how good those cookies are! Have you tried the Dark Chocolate Candy Cane Truffles? Oh my!
ReplyDeleteHe is a smart boy. I would have shoved like 5 in my mouth at one time. In fact, I'll probably go do that now.
ReplyDeleteI have got to try these cookies sometime....
ReplyDeletei second jill's comment.
ReplyDeleteMore than once Patrick has found me in a similar spot doing the exact same thing, after a rough day in the Mama department.
