Stroller reading.

We have books with us wherever we go. In the car, at church, in the stroller, all around our house... Nothing entertains this boy like a good book. This particular one - first words - is one of his very favorites (thanks, Grandma!). The pages are getting mushy (teething) & worn from lots of reading, & on this particular afternoon, he was engrossed.

He's also gifted & has a talent for reading upside down.

This time of day + a still reading baby make for good light & sharp photos, (all of which make me quite pleased). I like to edit my photos on occasion, but these made me happy, happy right out of the camera (my favorite). Quinn's eyes! They're green! Or brown. Or maybe something in the middle. We're not quite sure, but do you see me in them?! Like, literally? Hi! Otherwise - I think he looks just like Mike.

We've had a good few days! The Houston Rockets game Friday night with friends, lots of time outside, a couple of good runs (I think I got sunburned yesterday - 78˚), & a family shopping trip to the mall yesterday thanks to our friend Dr. King & a bank holiday. Mike said he had a girl trip - he purchased moisturizer & shoes. I, on the other hand, picked up some new mascara so that I could make a feeble attempt at having lashes just like my son. Sigh.

He does look so much like Mike suddenly! I love that he is wearing his little running shoes too.

And we have that book and Chloe still loves to read it!

He and Ellie share the eyelash trait. Sort of crazy long.

Love the picture of you in his eyes! I have one like that of Parker at the lake, but instead of me, you can see the trees and the lake. Love!

And a sunburn... Really... I have snow in my backyard. Jealous!

Hi kathryn!

I have a quick question and I can't seem to find your email address, so I'll just ask you on here.

First of all, those tiny new balance shoes are to die for!
So we're planning a trip to go out to new jersey/new York at the end of march. We're super excited and I've been pouring over your NYC guide! The main thing I'm stressing out over is what to do about a stroller. Hawk (the baby) will be about 7 months. Is a stroller totally insane and inconvenient walking around new York, and on subways? Is a baby carrier the way to go? Or does it even matter? I'd love to hear your opinion whenever you have time to get back to me!

My email address is: heathermildenstein@gmail.com

Thanks Kathryn!
