When West was small.

I think this is from the week before we left for Priest Lake or maybe it was actually late June. I'm not sure, but West looks like a baby in these photos (and now he doesn't). Quinn was having one of his epic meltdowns, and I was at a point where I could do nothing but give him some alone time in his crib for a few minutes to help him gather his composure. West sat there happily playing with his blocks, despite the volume coming from Quinn's room.

Their personalities could not be more different.

Quinn joined in on the fun as soon as he pulled himself together (puffy eyes and all).

(We've been at Priest Lake for the past 28 days. This morning, I'm in Spokane at my parents, and this afternoon I'll be in Portland at my sister's. Sunday, we fly back to Houston, and on Saturday, we fly to North Carolina to see Mike's family at the beach. Please bless that my children don't self destruct in the next week and that I don't crumble into a pile of exhausted dust.)

And because videos are fun:

Holy cow I can't handle how much he looks like you!

Sadie is looking at this with me and said "I have seen him at nursery before" ha ha

I do this all the time with old photos: in the moment I think he looks so big, and literally 2 weeks later I'm like "aww he was such a baby still in these photos, because NOW he's so big."

Repeat every week.

The brothers playing together melts my darn heart. I love them!
