Is it Friday yet?

I'm staying here tonight. My room is right above the harbor (above the boat in this picture- 4th floor). It's really pretty, but considering I got here at 11pm and will wake up at 7am to work, I won't be doing much relaxing. This being said, I did enjoy the spa bath products and a nice long shower when I finally got here tonight. Nice.

I took a black car service into the city from Greenwich for our recruiting event tonight. I was immediately filled with dread as soon as I saw the black Mercedes parked outside my office door. Flashback: When I was interviewing for my job back in March, I got picked up in the city for my Greenwich interview. My driver would not stop talking and halfway through the ride actually said, "I have to tell you- you have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. I've been staring at them ever since you got in the car." Creepy. Back to today: I see the car. I know it's him. I get in the car (thankfully not alone) and he immediately said, "Do I know you? Oh! How could I forget those eyes?" Eww. I am not flattered.

I had a great event at work that went off without a hitch and I met some great people. The next 24 hours will be stressful & busy, but again- this is what I get paid for. I love my job. But the sad news- Mike is taking off tomorrow morning for a few days of traveling {for work}, so I won't see him until Saturday night. I saw him for exactly 12 minutes today, as I stopped by the apartment quickly between my event & the trip out to Greenwich to grab my stuff. Like I said- sad. It's only two nights of alone though- My mom comes on Thursday. Hooray!
Time for bed. Enough said for today.
