Two weeks after traveling to New York for their wedding, we made a quick 48-hour(ish) stop in SLC on our way to Spokane for Dave & Kylie's wedding reception.
A few things that happened:
|| Squeezed in seeing as many friends & family as we could (there is never enough time) || Attended the happy + fun reception where we ate the best wedding cake ever || Reunited with our sweet Burton friends & witnessed the happiest, most pure joy as the littles said hello again || Discovered that we had packed for a three week vacation without including any tops for Q (!!!), except for his clothes for the reception || I screamed & yelled* & immediately blamed Mike** || Bought Q a new upper wardrobe (sufficient for a few weeks, anyway) at City Creek & the Park City outlets*** || Ate yummy Italian food with the Whitings in Park City, where Q was almost killed by a little monster boy half his age || Finally met sister Elizabeth's new(ish) baby Sloane || Spent some really nice time with the Nixon & Skeen families in North Ogden || Flew 3/4ths of the way to Spokane Sunday morning, before the pilot informed us that we'd be flying back to Salt Lake due to a mechanical issue that prevented us from landing safely in Spokane in cooler weather || Our flight was cancelled & rebooked for Monday || %$#@*&!* || Went on a really nice long drive out to Antelope Island (so that Q could catch a much-needed snooze) || Were kindly taken in again by the Skeen family Sunday evening for dinner (Q was basically delirious with happiness - see photos), got to eat wedding cake birthday cake with Kylie + family that night, & had a good night's rest in Salt Lake at our hotel before flying to Spokane the next morning ||
We always love visiting Salt Lake City.
I didn't take nearly enough photos.
*I didn't scream & yell. But I really wanted to.
**It was all my fault.
***I found all of the missing clothes 3 minutes after I got home on Sunday.
