A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. {Washington Irving}
I'm really lucky to have my mom. I'm also lucky to have the other "mom" figures in my life- My mother in law, & also my sisters {in law & otherwise} who are such good friends, examples of who I'd like to be someday.
Love you all!

wow, you look gorgeous! heres to mothers and the wonderful women in our lives!
Thanks for this great note, Kathryn! I'm so happy to have you as another daughter, and sister for Cara and the boys... Words can't express how much you add to our family. So much fun, and good conversation, great music and creativity, new thoughts and great ideas, a great example, important life insights (whether on being a teenager, college student, or any other phase you've gone through) that you share so well with the kids, and so many other things... You have added new life to us all! Thanks for being part of the Whiting family tree. We love you!

We are all sisters....spiritual sisters....I love that truth that I feel so strongly. I also love the sentiment penned by Washington Irving. We are all on the road to understanding and growth.....thankfully we share the journey with those we love. Love you!
