- Loved, loved, loved The Partly Cloudy Patriot. Obviously. I might just read it again. It was witty & smart, & I really just love things that are witty & smart. Sarah Jane recommended it to me (she is a witty & smart person), & I think this officially qualifies her as my book guru, or at least my literary soul mate. Either one.
- We fly out to Utah tonight. It's snowing in New York. Fingers crossed. We'll be celebrating New Year's on the plane, a few times. I hate, hate, hate the flight from JFK to SLC (yes, yes, I'm so negative). But really. The flight is so long & it's always delayed & I'm always antsy sitting for that long. I get so bored that I can't do ANYTHING AT ALL because I'm just that bored. The only potential perk this time is JFK's new JetBlue terminal, which hopefully we won't spend too much time in. I hope it's as cool as they say it is.
- I was forced to pack with our medium suitcase vs. our large suitcase last night (the large being reserved for Mike, as it can better accommodate all of his snowboarding gear). I did it. 2 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of shoes (flats - do I need socks in Utah? I hope not, because I have a serious aversion to socks. Maybe I'll bring my Uggs.), & just enough tops to get me through 5 days. I only packed two pairs of underwear. I'm planning on shopping. I have a hard time being a light packer.
- I'm reading Daughter of Fortune next.
- I cannot wait for The Biggest Loser to start. Have you seen the commercials?! I tear up every time.
- I'm so happy I get to see family (sister #2 + sister #3 + brother #3 + their families / significant others + mom + dad) & friends this weekend. Magleby's Fresh for breakfast, anyone? Sundance? Please.
- My sister did one of those 100 Things About Me posts, & I just don't think I could do it. I'm just not that interesting.
- I really, really over did it on my purple (mistake #1) eyeshadow yesterday. What was I thinking? I think a light bulb must be out in our bathroom or something, because when I got to work I suddenly realized that I looked scary. I'm back to my typical brownish-pinkish today. It suits me much better.
- I've contemplated an electronics fast where I rid myself of TV, internet or BlackBerry for a full 24 hours. I think it would be really good for me, although I just don't think I could do it, except at Priest Lake, although definitely not during the US Open.
- Mike & I watched The Dog Whisperer last night on the National Geographic Chanel. Best show ever. Seriously.
- This made me laugh so, so hard yesterday.
- I'm looking forward to the conclusion of 2008 & the start of a brand new year.
- I'm done blogging until at least Tuesday. Bye. :)

Have a great time in Utah & happy New Year!
Tell me the time and day and I will be at Magleby's. First in line. Always looking for an excuse to consume massive amounts of calories (and their syrup/berries and cream).
o happy new year! sad we missed you but i know you'll love all that powder and sky in utah.
xoxo
You really need socks in UT, I wore boots every time I went outside.
I can't wait for the Biggest Loser. I have my Ben & Jerry's ready. :)
Have fun!
We can't wait for The Biggest Loser too!! Love that show...so inspiring!
Happy New Year and have fun in Utah :)
We just did Magleby's this morning for my mom's bday. So good!
I'm excited that it's looking like we'll see you soon.. even if I'm still a bit dozy. :) (That percocet!)
Good luck with the flight. And I concur- definitely socks. Or just skip the flats all together.
I love the Dog Whisperer! It is funny when we go to the dog park and hear all the owners making the same "Shh" sound as Caesar.
