Roll Call

This picture is here because... well, I think it's pretty. (I want to find some sort of large print like this for our apartment. Any ideas?)

To my point. Who are you? I put a ticker on my blog out of curiosity. Since Saturday, I've had over 100 hits. This might pale in comparison to other people's blogs, but I don't feel like I know this many people! Sure, quite a few of these hits are my own, but I want to know who is out there besides my mom and my few faithful friends who are so kind to comment. Leave a comment here! Tell me who you are! Don't be shy.

Kathryn, I tried this and it didn't work for me. Hopefully it does for you. :) It ended up driving me crazy...not knowing who was reading in Alabama or Mississippi or Chicago. I ended up taking my counter off.

So, you see the multiple # of times I "check blogs" throughout the day. (Cole's morning nap, lunch time, evenening and before bed.) I need to get a life.

Blogs are a great way to keep up with friends. I feel like I've been your neighbor through every step of Cole's development. Don't fault yourself for keeping in touch with your friends!

Maybe you're right. I probably won't get any responses. Worth a shot, I suppose. I'm just curious...

For the record, I read the blog. I believe I've been unofficially banished from publication due to inactivity, so I guess that makes me a de facto "blog-stalker"....

Would anyone else care to emerge from the shadows and share your thoughts on the Whiting family drama?

Well, I'm here. I became a reader after Kelli started the book club. I like it! But, I've left tons of comments so you know me and don't worry Kelli, I need a life too. Naps, downtime, bedtime etc.

PS: Try art.com for your print. They have cool prints.

Kathryn I hope this doesn't sound totally stalkerish but I somehow started reading Kelli's blog (one of her Boston friends is a good friend of mine) and then found yours- I like to blog cruise. I am oh so jealous of your NYC life!!

I have thought about putting up a ticker, but then I think I would just get creeped out if I saw some person in China was reading my blog and I had no idea who they were.

Anyhow, Hi. You are an interesting writer.

So, just a few responses, and a few emails (our friend Matt said, "I read your blog, but I can't comment! I'd be the only guy!!"). It's fun to have friends in the blogging world, and I don't mind if you check it once or twice a day. Kelli and Missy- that certainly doesn't mean you are geeks. I wish I had more time to "catch up" with my friends! You need some down time from all the excitement your kids give you!

Heidi- I saw your picture icon next to your comment and knew I had seen it before. I've seen your blog!! I think you are friends with Taryn, who is friends with a girl in my ward in New York. I've looked at Taryn's blog a few times (she has great recipes!) and did some browsing myself. :) My husband was in her ward in college, too. I think they may have dated? Oh- and Kelli is my good friend. We were roommates in 2003 (?) and have done a fairly decent job staying in touch ever since. Anyway. Small world! I'm happy you read my blog. :) Nice to meet you.

No way!! I knew your hubby looked familiar to me but I could not put my finger on it. Taryn was my best friend at BYU and sometimes roommate. V. Small world.

I'll own up to being a Whiting fan. If you two have any spare time when you are out, we would love to see you. Mike, the corn's coming and I have a twofer to the bird, just in case that still interests you.

Heidi, did you ever live at Old Academy? That's how Mike knew the twins. He lived there our senior year ('04-'05). He read my comment and said, "I never dated Taryn!" but I know there was some serious text messages going on. :) I miss the drama of BYU. (Those girls were always sweet to me, by the way- no drama there by any means).

I've realized that I only have to "browse" one or two blogs away from mine until I find someone I know, etc. In the LDS/BYU community, it IS a small world. I think it's so fun.

Taryn was my roommate in the dorms our freshman year. Then I lived with her again my senior year at Old Academy. I asked her about Mike and she said he was in her ward the year before I lived with her and Lauren, so I was never in a ward with him but I knew of him. Funny world. I love all the BYU connections.
