What I love about New York City today: forced exercise.
I went up to Central Park this morning to run with my friend Shannon. We met at 86th street and ran around the reservoir (twice- a little over 3 miles). This made me tired enough- I've gotten into the habit of running on the treadmill, and it's quite a bit easier than "real" running. Afterwards, I ran errands for a few hours, continuing my "exercise":
Legs: Going up and down subway stairs (several times)
Sprints: Running towards the subway (at least I was wearing running shoes)
Back/biceps/shoulders: Carrying my shopping bags for blocks and blocks... and blocks
After a morning run and a few hours of errands, I am tired. The big question- why am I not thinner?!
My errands were productive. I finally broke down and ordered my Anthropologie sheets the other day. They came in the mail yesterday. I did not like them. At all. They were bright green, not a sage green to match my striped duvet, and the 300 thread count = not so soft. I’m returning them today (I couldn't take them with me on my run). I stopped at the Pottery Barn Home store and found a great pair of sateen 600-thread count Egyptian cotton sheets on sale. Sure, they are plain white, but I’m okay with it. I can’t find exactly what I’m looking for (not clearly defined either, which I’m sure doesn’t help), so I can settle with a super soft pair of white sheets.
I stopped by the Container Store (my heaven) and picked up a few plastic bins to help us get a bit more organized before the move. I love that store. If I got a $10,000 shopping spree, it would be for there… or Nordstrom.
The rest of the day… If our UHaul boxes arrive via FedEx this afternoon, I will pack. If they do not, I will be perfectly content organizing, cleaning, and loading songs onto my new iPod. Mike’s friend Ryan is staying with us for a few days, so maybe we will even get out tonight for a fun dinner. We’ll see.

Sounds like you had a really nice day. I love getting "extra" exercise in while staying in my workout clothes. It feels good and the shower afterwards is even better.
So, I'm glad you went with PB sheets. I got them earlier this year and LOVE mine. They are the perfect softness, but not so soft that they aren't nice. Does that make sense? There is such a thing.
Basically one more week 'til the move? I'm excited for you.
Good. I'm glad that you like your sheets. I've heard mixed reviews on them, but I don't think you can go wrong with high quality/high threadcount. These are really soft (I made them take them out so I could compare the 400 vs. 600). I also like that the pillow cases have a "pouch" to close the end off. It will look very "neat".
One week from Monday. I can't wait. Our boxes came this afternoon so we will start packing tomorrow (books, etc).
