Super Cool.

Everyone has had the experience where they humiliate themselves. The I showed up to school without remembering to get dressed moments. I've always failed to impress in the "most embarrassing moment" conversations. Today- I win.

Goldman Sachs IBD Human Capital Management "Spring Fling" party. Tonight. Me, and 30 or so of my colleagues. We had a gift exchange game, and as I was walking across the floor to collect mine, my heel caught on the cuff of my pants. I fell (some might say I flew). Flat on my face. Really. It hurt. There was a collective GASP as I fell. I got up, fast, and laughed it off. But I was embarrassed. Someone made a joke about a woman near me tripping me, and it blew over quickly, but geesh... totally, thoroughly embarrassing. Happy Wednesday to me.

I know how you feel- once I fell completely flat on the BYU campus right in between classes- people everywhere.

Sounds like you maintained composure which is key!

Oh dear Kathryn! I am so sorry. I picture it and kind of laugh, but I can imagine how embarrasing that would be. And even worse that it hurt. At least you are switching jobs right?

Good point, Missy. At least people won't be telling that story--to YOU--for years.

It was happy Wednesday to Brad too. He jumped over my legs (that were resting on the ottoman in front of us during American Idol), didn't get his foot down on time, and fell-face forward- into the sea foam green carpet. He immediately started laughing, which allowed me to do the same. For a good 7 minutes. Oh boy!

I'm sorry it happened. But at least it gave you another good post, right?

I guess in the end, I am over it (I think). Embarassment is (or should be) temporary, right? Oh well. The bad part... I have a headache this morning. I have a really sensitive back/neck thanks to a car accident almost 2 years ago, and as soon as I hit the floor I thought, "uh oh". My neck hurting tends to leads to headaches, and sure enough this morning... Oh well. It could have been worse. Right? Makes a good (even funny) story.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE these stories!! Except the fact your hurt... I walked into a glass door at a party in Highschool and I still can't live that one down. I am blushing just thinking about it :)
