We had a "barbeque" for work last night, if you can call a big party at a yacht club a barbeque. It was likely the nicest barbeque I have ever been to. Shrimp, steak, oysters, beautiful desserts- along with hamburgers, of course... There was a great band that was incredibly chill. It was very nice. I chose a hamburger for my main entree, but it was likely the 2nd-best-ever hamburger {I am loyal to Shake Shack} I have ever had. The event was held just down the street from my office. I thought that the setting was stunning. I had fun, but in the end, I think that work events are always semi-awkward. My firm is really young, & a fair amount of people are single. It makes for an interesting dynamic at times, especially when I'm the girl who's "far too young to be married". Whatever.
I didn't get home until a little past 9:00. Our apartment was a disaster, so I did a quick clean up and then out of pure guilt, went to the gym to get my run in. In the end it felt good, but why can't there just be a few more hours in the day? I'm excited to be in San Francisco with my sisters & this {running the half with them} is a good goal, but running at 10:00pm after a long day at work is not the most fun thing to do... I definitely slept well last night.
