Boots.

When I think of fall at BYU, I think of the "hooker boots" coming out on Sundays at church. It was a sure sign that fall was here. Every single girl seemed to be wearing them with short skirts. It was the thing to do. Or wear, anyway.

I haven't owned a pair of knee-high boots for a few years now, but recently decided that I needed them {I get really cold in the winter}. I went on a quick search for the perfect boot yesterday, on what happened to be the first day that really felt like fall. It was brisk, cool, & brilliantly sunny. After a quick lunch at Shake Shack {my dad's first visit, complete with the Shack Burger, fries & of course the Concrete Jungle}, we took a long walk down 5th Avenue in the search for the perfect knee-high {in addition to the perfect rehearsal dinner dress- turns out the Anthropologie one with the yellow bow is not-so-cute). So, boots- I wanted something that was comfortable with a wide heel so that I could actually function in them, nice enough to wear to work, but casual enough to wear with jeans. I actually found them in the first store that I went in, & for 30% off! I love boots. I love fall, & I especially love finding something perfect on sale.

Oh I love my "hooker" boots, they have a pointy heel yet are super comfortable. I actually think I wear them with jeans more often than to church!
