I meant to post this a while ago, but didn't quite get there... Mike & I went to Roosevelt Island two weeks ago to see our friends Elly & Scott. You have to take a tram to get there {unless you have a car & can drive across the bridge}. A few summers ago, the tram got stuck mid-way across the river & they had to evacuate people {via ropes & other scary looking techniques}. I'm just glad that we didn't get stuck. It was a funny feeling hanging over the East River in a fairly small box {similar to the Snowbird Tram}.
