Thank you, Washington & Lincoln, for allowing the markets to close in observance of your birthdays. Consequently, it also meant that I got to sleep in on a Monday. We met Ruth & Jared {+ Abby} for brunch at Norma's. Delicious does not do it justice. It's my new favorite spot, & I will willingly eat an entire bowl of whipped cream all by myself again, anytime {not even kidding- they serve it as a "side" to the hot chocolate}. Maybe even on Saturday, when Tara & Suzanna are here. We're going back, & I'm so excited.
.
I spent the afternoon shopping by myself {I actually prefer shopping alone... no guilt when spending 25 minutes deciding between 2 pairs of almost identical earrings}, then met a group of girls for dinner. The UES is finally starting to feel like home. Which is nice.

Sounds like a good day. It was not a holiday for me so I personally cannot thank the President's for a day off...
Norma's is fun, but I almost prefer brunch at davidburke & donatella. Ruth and I are plotting something in the next few weekends. You in? Oh, and they serve bubblegum whipped cream with the cheesecake lollipop tree . . .
I'm in, I'm in! I love brunch. My favorite meal, hands down.
I think we need to create a "Best of NYC" book...
I'm so glad it's becoming home!!
I enjoy shopping alone too (and that means sans Isobel). There are few people I can really shop with and those people are my sisters and my mom (and a friend named Bri).
Totally agree - shopping alone.
Such a cute picture. I loved Norma's. It was well worth the wait and price. I can't wait for our next brunch and new location.
