Hooray for me.

I haven't had a Diet Coke {or any form of Coke} since Friday, March 21st. Not even when Mike & I went out to eat for burgers & fries this weekend. Oh man, I really wanted one. A Cherry Coke, specifically.

I think I deserve a reward.

Maybe your reward should be a diet coke! Just kidding! Good job Kathryn. I have to say, I can now have one occasionaly without going into full fledged addiction, but when I get stressed, I still want one!

I've never liked Diet Coke, or soda really, for that matter. But, I have a lot of friends addicted to it so I know what a feat this is! Congrats.

After I hadn't had DC for about a month all soda started tasting funny to me. It used to be my first choice where ever I went and now I want someting else. BTW, I also drank a lot of herb tea when I was giving up coke.

good job for not drinking:
a cold, bubbly, ice crackling, wonderful smelling, smooth, not too salty/but not too sweet, refreshing, energizing, romantic, invigoratingly wonderful drink that came straight from the rivers of a place called heaven.

Your efforts strike a cord which obviously resonates far and wide! Are you going to keep this up front and center until you've officially passed the two week mark?
What do you think is the problem? Why do people fear being addicted to DC? Really...You know I can't really relate to a soda craving....but I want to know the why of it. Tell me...someone. If it's all upside, what's the downside?

Oh Mom. You wouldn't be able to understand unless you gave DC a chance. I think the DC think is that you are having a soda, that's diet, so somewhere in your head you think it's better than drinking a regular Coke, and then after drinking a DC for awhile, Coke tastes way too sweet. Also, DC is better tasting than water, and there is something salty about it that you crave. So maybe it's like when the deer seek out the salt licks during the winter. But I think McDonalds has the best DC.
