Stuck.

It's bad enough that I sit at a desk all day. It's even worse that I order my lunch every day from SeamlessWeb vs. actually going outside & picking something up {that just doesn't make sense working in Greenwich- it worked in the city}. But even more destructive- they have now hired someone, an office housekeeper of sorts, who actually delivers our lunch, from the delivery guy. Straight to my office, complete with an assortment of utensils & napkins. If I had a catheter, I would have very little reason to actually stand up during the day.

I think it's time (overdue, really) for an intervention. You MUST make time for yourself during the day missy. I know we've had this talk before, but fresh air and a quick walk outside (even if it's on a sidewalk by your building) would be a good refresher.

You work really hard, and I know that your boss values what you do for the company....give yourself a break every day...30 minutes won't mess up your workload too much...stop making me worry! Oh yah...p.s. please don't be mad at me for saying this...I love you
:-)!

What will they think of next? You better not mention the catheter comment to them..... ;)

You must be rich to have so many assistants and to use the luxury of online lunch ordering...

Can I have some money?

Bret, you must be rich to have a CHILDREN'S bedroom and like 12 cars. I only have 700 square feet. :)

My firm pays for our lunch. It encourages us to work even longer hours (i.e. never leave our desks). They have a stocked kitchen too, so typically is is breakfast-lunch-dinner at work. For free.

Less than half a mile from your beautiful office, where you absolutely love to work, is a fitness club. Tell your boss he needs to pay for your membership, and then go there every day for a bit of comic diversion,,,,i.e. preparing for that half marathon....or whatever. I'll bet it would be 100% worth it.
By the way - I checked out the options you have for lunch....Amazing!!!!! That's all good...You could have it waiting when you got back from the club!
p.s. Please don't be mad at me for saying this...I love you too :-) !!

Your work pays for your food? That's the way to keep a grocery budget in check. That is seriously so great.
