92nd & York.

We have 6 more weeks in this apartment. We've loved it over the last year- loved the view, & loved the extra space {if 750 sq. feet counts as "extra", but the 200 square foot increase from our last apartment makes it feel like a palace}. But, it's time to cut some of the "luxuries" {e.g. a pool we've used twice & a doorman we refer to as the "Nazi", because he's just that helpful} & increase the savings. Have I mentioned that New York City rent continues to rise, while the mortgage crisis rages on {with a vacancy rate lower than 1%, I might add}? Average rent for a 1-bedroom apartment = $3,200. Grr. This is a topic in & of itself, for another day.
.
I walked into the apartment on Monday night {excited to get home before it was dark, for the first time in months} to this view. I couldn't quite capture it on my camera, but it was beautiful, for those of us that can appreciate the beauty of concrete.

Good luck with the apartment hunt! I can't wait to hear all about the new place.

I'm going to miss your apartment, but I'm excited for the next one! Maybe you could find a deal on Park Ave :)
