The weather today could not have been better. After sleeping in, brunch with friends {Eggs Benedict @ The Vinegar Factory- maybe I need to try something new?} & an extra-long nap, we decided to get outside & get some exercise. I actually put on a sports bra. Let me say that again- I put on a sports bra. It has been months. I'm not even exaggerating. We decided to go on a brisk walk {my body cannot even conceive the idea of running right now} to the park & around the reservoir. However- before we left our apartment, we saw Levaine Bakery featured on Food Network's Throw down with Bobby Flay {one of Mike's favorite shows, it turns out}. After Levaine's victory vs. Bobby, we just knew we had to go. So- to the park we went, around the reservoir we circled, & then we continued southwest to 74th Street between Amsterdam & Columbus. We passed Patsy's on the way & decided to grab some dinner, & then went to Levaine for dessert. Oh my gosh. I think I said that about 27 times while eating our cookies. It absolutely lived up to all of the hype. Please come visit me just so you can eat these cookies. I just can't even describe how good they were. So good. At 6 oz. a pop, we decided to walk back across the park to our apartment. Lots of walking today, but really nice.
.
I'm glad we have an extra day this weekend to relax. The weather is supposed to be really nice & we're hoping to take advantage of the sunshine & the park- & the lacrosse sticks that we picked up at the store today on our way home. Just for fun.

So the walk was just for getting you in the mood for eating? :) But it all sounds delicious! I wish I could just walk to a yummy place to eat. In the suburbs it's all about finding the closest parking spot!
You are so lucky to live is such a great spot!!! Fortunately you walk allot so you can indulge in all the cookies and other yummies. Gastronomically, you're really in heaven!
I saw that episode and have wanted to try those cookies. You are lucky to live in such a cool city with so much going on. I'm sick of Utah. Hong Kong?
