Friday: Kathryn & Mike went to New Canaan in order to travel with the Whitings to the DMB concert. Stayed in New Canaan Friday night.
.
Saturday: Came back to NYC. Slept in own bed.
.
Sunday: Went back to New Canaan for Father's Day + Bryan's graduation on Monday. Planned to stay overnight in New Canaan Monday night since dinner would go late.
.
Monday: Graduation is cancelled due to lightning, rain & thunder (which didn't start until after graduation would have ended). Still go to dinner (Morton's Steak House- so full) despite fears of crashing trees, flash floods & power outages. Stay in New Canaan.
.
Tuesday: Mike leaves at 4am to catch a flight to San Francisco out of JFK (gone the rest of the week). Kathryn takes early train back to NYC so that she can work from home, go to a doctor's appointment mid-day, then catch a train back to New Canaan to be the NYC-Whiting's representative at the now-rescheduled graduation. Kathryn almost kills cab driver from frustration during trip from Harlem to 92nd Street (a 10 minute cab ride that turned into 40). Kathryn walks into apartment to find that it is approximately 37 degrees thanks to the AC being left on since Sunday afternoon. Puts on sweater despite 80+ degree heat outside.
.
Tuesday afternoon: Previously mentioned train to New Canaan.
.
Tuesday night: Kathryn will take a train back to NYC, despite the fact that commuting to Greenwich from New Canaan the next morning would be much easier. Kathryn scolds herself for scheduling hair appointment in the city right after work on Wednesday (doesn't want to lug all of her stuff down to Tribeca from Greenwich, then back uptown), but can't reschedule it since it has already been rescheduled approximately 4 times in the last 3 weeks.
.
Sigh.

I feel for you! I hope you have a good book to read during all this commuting.
Nice to have a hair appt (depsite the additional commute). Doing anything new?
Wait, that means your hair appt is today right? Are you doing anything majorly different?
So random of them to cancel graduation (at least it sounds like it). You should really treat yourself to some ice cream tonight with your feet up.
You make me tired.......
Ah, city living!
Hair appointment is tonight (Wednesday) Missy. Nothing different... except maybe color. :) We'll see. I never know going in!
