- Sunday: I actually made a meal, albeit not alone. Thai Curry with onions, peppers, mushrooms, carrots, potatoes & chicken. Love Trader Joe's Yellow Curry Sauce. Yum.
- Monday: Mike brought home a Peanut Butter & Jelly cupcake from Tribeca Treats. Sounds like a square meal to me.
- Tuesday: A bowl of Frosted Shredded Wheat (Mike was traveling today - why cook?).
- Wednesday: Dinner with girls. I'll bring dessert.
My brother Andrew is in town Wednesday night through Sunday. We plan on eating out. Shake Shack. Patsy's. La Esquina. The usual.
I'll cook some real food next week.
Today's Mileage: 4.12 miles. Treadmill.
Thoughts: I didn't want to run tonight, but knew I should. I just hurt for the first 2 miles - especially my neck muscles which thanks to our accident three years ago, will probably bother me for the rest of my life. And my stomach. It felt heavy. Dumplings? Maybe. Magnolia Cupcake? Perhaps. Either way, at mile 2, something clicked, I loosened up & all of a sudden I felt great. I planned on running an easy three miles tonight, but went to four. Sometimes it's just worth it to push through. It felt nice.
Power Song: Diablo Rojo - Rodrigo y Gabriela. I listened to it four times.
*Morning-after update: Note to self - Starting a run at 9:15pm results in an inability to sleep ALL. NIGHT. LONG.

Don't you love it when it all just clicks like that? I always find the first mile or two is the worst part of the run.
I hear you on the pain. Today was my long run (10 miles), which is usually fine, but my shoulder has been killing me. I think running while pushing the stroller is a bad idea because it hurt a couple of weeks ago, was fine while I was gone with running babysitters last week, and starting acting up again after my rain run on Monday.
good job!
