(Mike here)
There are some things people never forget. For better or worse, certain events and influences leave indelible impressions. One such event is a person's first purchase of an album. Mine was Michael Jackson's "Dangerous." I haven't heard the following song in at least 15 years, but somehow I still have every word memorized. Hearing this recalls vivid memories of me rocking out to my tiny boombox in my poster-filled room in South Orange, NJ, absolutely destroying the moonwalk.
Big ups to MJ.
PS - My second album? Arrested Development "3 Years, 5 Months, 2 Days In the Life Of..." Mr. Wendal was my TRACK. Again, 15 years later, it's all still up there. "Never thought twice 'bout spendin' on an old bum 'til I had the chance to really get to know one."

My favorite part of tonight was when we both knew all (most) of the words to the rap during the "Black or White" video. We are so cool.
this post makes me want to dust off my old cd case and listen to "regulate."
