Living Room (cont.)

My frame wall is (basically) finished. I'm not entirely satisfied with my little polaroid collection on the bottom left, but I'm living with it for a bit until I decide what I want to do. And I printed a half-dozen or so of the photos that Kylie took for us.

I spent some time this morning installing some hooks on the back of our front door for our coats & scarves. Winter is coming - requiring lots of layers - & we just don't have a lot of closet space. Actually, we don't have any free closet space. Or even under-the-bed-or-couch space. Yikes. It's funny how AprilMayJuneJulyAugustSeptember-6 months later we're still getting settled, still getting things organized around here. My dad comes to visit next week for a few days (hooray!). It's good motivation to get things wrapped up.

Also checked off the box today - Paid our rent, dropped off laundry (30 pounds!), returned a few things for Mike, picked up a memory card for my new camera (!!) at B&H (the place was a pre-Yom Kippur mad house, closing early in preparation - their observance isn't always convenient), finally renewed my license at the DMV which has been on my list of things to do for 3 weeks...

(oh! Speaking of the DMV. Guess how much my license - for never, ever driving!!! - cost? $80. I pay $80 to be able to drive a car, even though I never, ever, ever do. Ever. Maybe once a year when we go to Spokane. That's it. Otherwise, I don't even think about driving a car - only about which corner I'm most likely to snag a cab from. $80!? Not happy about that.)

...watched Grey's Anatomy from last night & cried all by myself on the couch (it's better that way), & skimmed through the Martha show that was taped on Wednesday. Per my previous comments - it was boring. I did get one appearance early on, & a decent leg shot a bit later. I'll take it.

Happy Friday. We're looking forward to a relaxing weekend & to sleeping in.

I do, Kera. Love it, actually. I thought the season premiere episode was so well written.

That looks really great. I love the molding on your walls. Did you take that picture of the Manhattan Temple? It's fabulous.

I always watch Grey's alone and totally bawl my eyes out and love every minute of it. Cute, cute living room.

Where did you get that picture of the temple? It looks like it was taken from on top of Lincoln Center. That would be the only great angle of the temple, I swear. I thought I would take my own to frame and hang, but that building is so inconveniently situated. There's almost always something in the way. I love the picture you have!

The photo of the temple is from Jon Moe - it's sold through the Mormon Artist's Group. I wish I took it. :)
