We went & saw the tree at Washington Square Park last night, & then had some late-night falafel & shawarma at Yatagan Kebab House in the West Village. The tree? Not so impressive (they could have sprung for a few more strings of lights), but pretty with the arch. Yatagan? Amazingly good food for $5 (!!).
I was wishing that I had my (big + heavy) camera with me, & not just my plastic polaroid. It doesn't perform at it's best at night, but these worked.
