We're back from Pennsylvania Dutch Country & Mom + Dad Hudson are back in Washington.
It's a little hard to believe that this man was working in his field, with his horses, 2 1/2 hours away from the traffic going through The Holland Tunnel, the lights & glitter of Times Square & even the little sushi place on the corner of our street.
The pace of life there! So different.

The sun was out most of the day morning, & then the rain came later in the afternoon. But the colors! And the smells! We ate lots of woopie pies, fresh pretzels, homemade rootbeer (no offense to my Amish friends, but it tastes like Listerine), rhubarb pie, oatmeal cookies, chocolate chip cookies & fresh bread (I had a nice, simple bowl of Kashi for breakfast this morning). We saw a lot of cows, chickens, goats, big, open green fields, scooters, buggies, horses, drying laundry blowing in the wind & sweet little children who loved to smile & wave at us. It was all beautiful.
More soon.

Hi Kathryn- nothing to do with this post but I made the strawberry lemonade bars yesterday for a family dinner and everyone loved them! And we even have leftovers for the next few days. So thank you for the recommendation :) And congratulations on the little boy! That's so exciting!!
Hilarious- I tried their homemade root beer last summer when I was in PA- so gross!
