Pro·duc·tive.

Yesterday was one of the more productive days of my life. This whole week has been, really. My to do list + the appropriate checkmarks are currently giving me great satisfaction & contentment.

I dropped off a dozen shirts & several pairs of pants at the drycleaners around the corner. I went to several stores up by 86th Street for a few returns / exchanges of baby gear. I picked up a birthday gift for a friend, & wrapped another. I grabbed a few last minute must-haves at Giggle on 74th Street. I stopped by Duane Reade & got a can of my favorite hairspray (Bumble & Bumble) that I'm just about out of, & some clear nail polish. I made a bang trim appointment for tomorrow morning, because it's about that time. I wrote thank you cards. I had cereal for lunch. I ordered a new printer (why are they so disposable?), & a brown bomber jacket for Baby Boy. I made a shopping list for Costco & Trader Joe's (tomorrow). I made more lists, just for fun (i.e. for satisfaction of admitted neuroses). I inventoried Baby Boy's clothes with friend Jill (I need miniature socks), & we (she) put together the baby lounger that just came in the mail, without instructions. I organized my hospital bag. Again. I cleaned. I went through photos. I blogged. I responded to several far-overdue emails (sorry). I talked to Erin on the phone about all of the important issues happening in the world. I made spaghetti & meatballs for dinner. I went to a Vampire Weekend concert at Radio City Music Hall. I walked approximately 5 miles. I made a strawberry banana smoothie (Mike says shake because ice cream may have been involved) at midnight, just for fun. It was delicious. I sent friend Suzi a list of boy names (hers is coming in December) at 4am because I couldn't sleep.

If I go into labor today, all is well in the world.

And pumpkins! There are pumpkins on the street! It is fall.

This is good! Once baby comes you should take it easy and be non-productive (minus the milk department). At least for a few weeks. I think you are already dilated so much because you walk a ton every day! That is perfect, I wish I had been doing that with my first and not sitting at a desk in an office all day.

I agree....You know when you're suffering from
"Sympathetic Nesting Syndrome" when after checking everything off your list for the day you come home from getting the car fixed at 9:30 pm and almost go outside to wax the car. I was only restrained because I thought someone would commit me to the loony bin if they saw me. I came up with another list for today just to have one. I also spent a wee bit of time thinking of baby boy names and think I might have come upon it. Just though you should know!

Do you have miniature socks yet? These are my favorite: http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/Baby-Accessories/78042/Baby-7-Pack-Sock-Box.html
