It's obvious.

This boy loves his dad.

He loves me too - that's a given - but I've already known that for a really long time. But loving his dad? That's taken just a tiny bit more time to be obvious, as is to be expected.

Baby Q is so fun right now in part because his personality & his development are basically on warp speed. Every day is a new noise & a new trick. He's constantly babbling & increasingly expressive. He's not shy about how he feels about people either (e.g. the sweet woman who accidentally made him cry big, huge alligator tears at church yesterday - or his Uncle Robby & Aunt Kelsey, who he just loves & could sit happily with all throughout sacrament meeting).

Mike typically gets Q out of his crib in the morning & talks with him for a bit before he has to leave for work. On this morning, Q helped him get ready - obviously thrilled with the situation. Completely, genuinely happy. It makes my heart feel warm & gushy.

so cute. look at those dimples. and then someday when dad gets home, he'll get all the rockstar treatment for just stepping through the door. seriously, their part is easy. they just have to show up and everyone's like "jazz hands!"

that crinkle in his nose when he smiles is really just adorable. (love the orange and blue on him!)

I don't know if it's possible to look at these pictures without smiling. He really does look completely, genuinely happy. That is one of my favorite things about babies. They wear their emotions on their sleeves. They're always genuinely happy or genuinely sad or genuinely content and it's always so obvious. It's almost impossible not to feel happy or sad or content right along with them.

And I've said it before, but I'll say it again- Quinn is adorable! The dimples. Oh, the dimples. He is precious.
