(Last) Sunday.

Our house is still echoing - because it's still basically empty, really. I mean, we have all of our stuff. But our stuff filled up a 650 square foot apartment, not a house. And did I mention that we only moved 8 pieces of furniture? Quinn's crib, dresser & bookshelf. A sofa & a loveseat + an ottoman. And an entertainment center. Wait. That's only seven. See! No wonder our house echos. It's kind of driving me crazy, but it turns out that ordering furniture takes forever. Forever, & ever, & ever. We'll be settled by Christmas, I'm sure.

We're happier today. I mean, more or less. Church was less depressing yesterday, which meant that we aren't converting to Southern Baptists after all. Since Q has suddenly turned into a sass-delivering pre-teen, church is very much less about spiritual nourishment & more about any social interaction that is available (in the hallway, more often than not). Luckily, he provides some nice social lubricant everywhere I go, which is lovely since I'd probably be driven to drink otherwise. I almost asked a reasonably nice + normal looking girl in line at Chick-fil-A last weekend if she'd be my friend, then I got scared & didn't. Oh well. In the meantime, I've signed us up for a music + signing class, am doing my best to have a happy + friendly face! on all the time, & am headed to the gym this week to sign up for a membership (with two hours of babysitting included per day!).

Week #2, here we go.

Quinn already has a friend in Avery. Every time you post a video I play it for Avery & he sits there smiling talking to Quinn. Hopefully we will be able to get the boys together at some point.

That video is so cute! At the end when he looked up, opened his mouth and let out a sound, it looks like he KNEW it would echo! Not only is he so, so, so cute...but he's so smart too! Love the bow-tie!

he claps! smart boy.

i have been wanting to join a gym just to give fox/indie/me something to do during the week. i don't really care if i burn calories. i could just bring my laptop and surf the web for a few hours and i'd call it a success.

Excuse me, is that a faux hawk on your sweet boy? I. Love. It.

Glad to hear you had a happier day. Ups and downs!
