Two days of Ella & Quinn.

Our day started this morning at 6am with a sad little boy & vomit (on him, on me & all over the crib & his friends Puppy & Donkey), so we're sitting here in our sweatpants - Q with his iPad watching choo choo vidoes, & me with the laptop catching up on the endless amount of photos I'm behind with. West is being merciful & taking an extra long nap.

(Look, more photos of Ella & Quinn!)

Two nights ago, Q woke up sick at 3am. I went into his room, plopped him down on my lap for some rocking, & the first words out of his mouth were Ella! Ella! A few hours later when I had to go back in again, it was Grandma! Grandma! Park! Choo choos! I suppose the middle of the night requests are evidence of his favorite things, & Ella has certainly been one of those things since we moved here. I'm really happy that these two have each other, especially with the current upheaval in their lives (in the form of three brand new babies between our two families). Ella is tolerant of Q's obsession with trains, & Q is happy to spend some quality time coloring when Ella. They share a love of bubbles, George & running fast. They both scream at competing decibels, so I'd say they're an even match. I really love toddlers. Their little friendships are the sweetest.

The little video I made from their second play date is here

it's sort of priceless for your child to find a friend who is the peas to his carrots. i'm really routing for the quinn/ella eternal life plan.
