Baked French Toast (with berries, of course).



I borrowed this recipe from Missy's recipe blog. It turned out really well. I used ciabatta bread instead of French, and used more bread than the recipe called for (and more fruit). I loved it. I'll definitely make again. Did I mention how stuffed I have been all day? We're off to Mike's birthday dinner in half an hour. Oh boy.

We are going to have it (again) for dessert tonight, topped with ice cream. It really was delicious.

That looks divine. I just clipped a recipe for baked french toast. I hope it turns out looking (and tasting) as yummy as yours. Happy (belated) Birthday Mike!

I have seen recipes for STUFFED French Toast, too that look really good (stuffed with cream cheese, fruit, etc). More rich, but I had something like that at Ecce when we went (in the fall) and it was amazing. I'll have to find a recipe for that, too.
