I am one of four girls in my "original" family. I was really lucky to grow up with good sisters. I'm even more lucky that I have gained two more over the past few years. My sister (in-law, if it must be mentioned) Kera is no exception. She's an amazing girl, a good friend, a great wife to my brother, and now- a perfect mother. She's a trooper, an athlete, an adventurer, genuinely kind, incredibly sincere and always real... I wish I was more like her.
Today is her birthday. I hope it is happy.

What a beautiful picture of two of my favorite girls! As I read your message, I was stuck that perhaps the most meaningful part of a birthday is the expression of love that surrounds us. It can be a hug, a few well spoken words of care, or just a phone call. We all have so much stuff, and a gift is fun, but the real joy comes from simply, love.
