sign here, please.

I downloaded this really cool software from statcounter.com {thanks to a comment on Heidi's blog that I read today}. It's not I'm concerned- I have no plans to go "private"- it's more that I'm curious. Anyway- the software does really cool stuff that I'm quickly becoming obsessed with. I can see who is looking at my blog {okay- I can see IP addresses, etc.) & from what city {along with some other interesting things}. Very fun.

I've been guilty of blog-lurking myself ({and have even gotten some great friends out of the deal} & I've done a roll call before... but again- who's out there? I know I have my friends who never comment but I know they keep up {Allison & Kellie :) }, but I want to know who the rest of you are. Work with me here. Just for fun.

I just downloaded this thing too. It was fun to see where the hits were coming from since I knew most of the people, however I had one person from Nigeria and one from Germany- that is weird!! Also, one of my friends that lives in California, it said they were in Virginia.

I'll sign in, even though I don't know you! I am an old friend of Bret's, and when I checked his blog and saw the comments that you left, I decided to click over to see your blog. I really enjoy your fun, witty writing, and so I occasionally venture over for a smile (especially since Bret never updates his blog anymore). You sound like a really cool person! Just so you know that I'm not a scary psycho, I'm just a girl from Utah (Murray, to be precise). I work as an auditor (hence the enormous amounts of time spent on the computer) and I have two little kids. Anyway, I thought I would oblige and "sign in" as you requested. Have a great day!

Kathryn! It's a good thing I don't have a blog or we'd never get to talk and meet up in person! You know I love your blog. I hope you and Tara have a great weekend in the city! Talk to you soon. kellie

Guilty! I have been wanting to introduce myself but have felt funny about it. I am a friend of Ben and Lauren's and they are actually some of my friends that got me "blogging." When I was getting started, I went through and read some of the blogs on their page and I found your's to be so interesting. I'm from Utah but come to New York once a year (My sister and I just returned). I love to hear about my favorite city. You have such a great way of writing and I consider you a new friend! Thanks -

See- this is fun.

Hi Meredith! I know- what happened to Bret? Stinker. I miss his blogging. It was fun for the short while it lasted.

Kellie R- I love that whenever we see each other, it's like, "Yeah, you don't have to tell me that- I already read your blog!" Good thing we're always able to come up with something non-repetitive to talk about. :)

Kellie K- My husband (Mike) knows Ben & Lauren far better than I do (I've only met them a few times in person), but it's funny how you can become FRIENDS via blogging. I love it.

:) k.

Does Lauren read your blog? Lauren, somehow you know my friend Kristin. How? She was my freshmen roommate at BYU and I saw your link on Kathryn's and hers. Seriously, blogs are fun.

Missy, Lauren's husband was Mike's roommate at BYU, and Lauren is the sister of one of Mike's friends.

Small world- I think we are all connected within 2 or 3 people anyway.

I love that I'm writing this while you sit five feet from me checking your blog to see if I'm reading it :) My name is Tara, I'm a lurker, I try to comment and I'll do it more :) Thank you for hooking me on blogging, even if I only update mine every few days at best. I'm here and reading too much to blog on my own site!

I'm Kathryn's Mom. Her blog is the first thing I read in the morning when I get up. It makes me smile! I have the greatest children, and they are almost all blogging to some degree or other. What a fabulous way to keep in touch!
