Wednesday.

Grey, grey, grey. Rain, rain, rain. Tired, tired, tired.

I always feel like wearing a thick unflattering sweater with sweatpants on days like that! And then I become unproductive and want to lie on the couch wrapped up in a blanket watching mindless TV drinking a hot chocolate. You should go to that Garlic Factory place and get one!

Vinegar Factory, Garlic Factory, whatever. :)

I went to Shake Shack last night and they are going to start serving their legendary hot chocolate in three weeks. I told them that was not nearly soon enough. It is SO good.

And- I love the unflattering sweater and sweatpants image. That was totally me all conference weekend. Sorry Mike!

So my roommate Betsy Hales is in the family ward for Union Square. She has this map of the lower Manhattan area with little tabs of names, presumably where everyone lives. I assume it's for her calling or something. I just noticed it the other night and guess whose name popped out at me? Kathryn Whiting!! I couldn't even believe it because there were a million names and I just happened to see yours! Haha. I haven't had a chance to tell her yet that you don't live there anymore. :)
(PS I feel like this was a very stalkerish comment.....we still need to meet up sometime so I don't feel like such a creep!)

We are reading the same book! I started it months ago, but then I had a baby and I haven't read anything since.

I had to put East of Eden on hold for a bit.

Jen, do you like it? I'm 70 pages into it and still don't know what I think. It's different.

Don't give up on East of Eden. I loved it.

I think we are in about the same place. I read (and heard) all the hoopla about it on NPR, so I thought I'd give it a try, but it bugs me when I'm still struggling 100 pages into it.
