Hudson & I have had a rocky relationship in years {2} past. Given our distance, we haven't been able to spend the necessary time together in order to build a strong & trusting relationship. This being said, our last few visits have involved lots of looks from him indicating that he is... skeptical. We turned a corner this weekend though. It was fun to have the chance to bond with Hudson in Utah. He finally learned my name {Aabda = Kathryn - it works}, hugged me more than once, & seemed genuinely happy to have me around. We had a lot of fun reading stories, playing games, & counting toes. And shopping, too. I think Hudson loves to shop, or at least I'll pretend that he liked that part as well. He is such a sweet, cute little boy. I'm glad that we are BFF now.

What a sweet picture.
How happy you both look! You are such a sweet and loving Auntie to have flown all the way across the country to see your nephew, sisters....and friends. Even a short vacation is worth so very much - It's a wonderful gift of love.

I love that photo too! And I love this phase in our lives.. knowing our siblings kids. It's kind of crazy but oh so lovely.
