125th.

We headed back out to the suburbs yesterday afternoon to celebrate Father's Day & to get ready for Bryan's high school graduation (today). Thanks to missing our train by about 3 minutes, we had some time to kill up in Harlem. We managed to pacify our boredom by playing with the zoom lens on our camera & taking random pictures.

The block I walk from the subway at 125th to the Metro North Platform.

The Pentecostal Church on 125th. They have Wednesday night church on the sidewalk during the summer, & if I make it home early enough I get to see the spectacle (lots of yelling & loud music via huge speakers- I love it).

The bus stop that always clogs up the sidewalk right before the subway entrance. Grr.

Stuff.
.

We take the train to Darien vs. New Canaan (the stations are equidistant from the Whiting's home).

Patiently waiting (Grand Central Terminal & the Met Life building in the background).

Handsome.

Patiently waiting. I'm pale.

Finally.
.
If it were a weekday, I would have also taken pictures of the man who preaches (yells) inside the subway station at 125th Street, The Jehova's Witness women who silently stand there waiting for people to take their pamplets, my favorite drummer in all of New York City (on the downtown platform at 125th), the vendor on the corner who sells some sort of frozen fruit-like substance, & the blind man who hands out copies of AM New York each morning with a smile on his face. Next time.

Love the play by play of your crazy weekend. You must be seriously exhausted. I am loving these pictures, especially your and mike's facial expressions!

I like seeing snapshots into your life! Fun. You don't look pale to me either. Where is your blue/brown bag from? it's cute.

Lindsey, the bag is from Vera Bradley. It's cute, but rather unpractical... okay for quick weekend trips, but not so comfortable to carry if it gets too heavy. Oh well. :)
