Aspens.

A visitor from Utah bore her testimony in church the other week & was kind enough to let our small & humble gathering of Manhattan saints know that All is well in Zion (referring to Utah- since we were all worried & feeling terribly isolated in our small stake of 14 wards & branches) & that she was so impressed to see such a diverse gathering of saints in Manhattan (this means that she had never seen black members of the church). She speckled her sentences with little high-pitched sighs that almost made me laugh out loud.

Anyway.

We're off to Utah tomorrow, to the grove of Aspens. Should be fun. Let me know if you want anything from the distribution center or the BYU Bookstore. :) See you in a week!

I remember the first time I heard a visitor's testimony in a Manhattan Ward. Thanks for telling us how awful our city is, and how much better things are in Utah.

Good thing you weren't in Sunday School yesterday...

Ha, ha. Is it okay that I'm glad I missed both that testimony and Sunday School this past week in our ward? Been there, heard that.

And Utah is Zion? Oh, wow. That's really going to make me rethink my future plans.

So, so jealous about Aspen Grove. We went every 2 years as kids and I've been wanting to take John for a few years now. Next year (my sister's wedding interupted our plans for this summer). Have the best time!
