A balloon, a bridge & a question.

  1. Brad & Jill are a few of our besties.
  2. Jill's brother Craig loves a girl named Torie.
  3. Craig brought Torie to New York from out west.
  4. Jill & an entourage of lovely friends (Erin + me + Amy) took a dozen pink balloons onto the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge & handed them out to random people passing by, instructing them to give them to Torie & Craig as they walked across the bridge from Manhattan towards Brooklyn (balloon #1 was given to them by Jill's cousin, who knows Craig - but not Torie. The rest of the "volunteers" were instructed to give their balloons to the girl with the pink balloons).
  5. I followed them the whole way. With my camera. Since we've never met, Torie & Craig didn't notice me. I just looked like another tourist with a big lens.
  6. Craig asked.
  7. Torie said yes.
  8. I came home & kissed Mike. On the lips.

Congrats, congrats, congrats. What a happy day!
(Sort of reminiscent of this day last year)

That is very very cool. Nobody makes one appreciate love more than a newly engaged/married couple. Did the number of balloons have any meaning or just a bunch for fun? What a creative way to ask!
