We barely made our flight out of JFK, but all is well that ends well & we're here.
Wow.
We've been to the Montage before, but just for a day visit when Mike was interning for JetBlue when we were dating one summer. We got to fly to the beach & back for the day, which was pretty cool when you were going to school in Provo, Utah. Anyway, we took photos of us in the same spot as above, but as Mike kindly said yesterday, we were both a little chubby. I'll have to post the photos of us, six years ago (?!). I guess that I had forgotten just how spectacular it really is because I was so excited when we got here. It's beautiful. Our view is breathtaking. The beach is beautiful.
Since my body thinks I'm in New York, I've been up since about 4am which is awesome, because it's very dark at 4am. So I'm blogging.
We drove down from LAX yesterday, checked in to our hotel, & frolicked on the beach (Mike said, Why don't we live here?). Friend Missy came from San Clemente down the road & kept me company with Avery & Chloe while Mike went to his wedding rehearsal. That was just really fun. Really, really fun. Especially because, um, we hadn't quite met yet, which sounds kind of funny because I've considered Missy a friend for a few years now (!!). Kind of like meeting Lindsey in London last fall or Jen, Heidi & Bri for the first time in Salt Lake last winter (Lindsey was there, too!). Good times. There were no surprises meeting her, except that I like her even more. Which wasn't even a surprise really.
We had a fiesta dinner last night. The wedding is today. We go to Mexico tomorrow. It's just a really happy weekend.
*Oh. The funny story about my shirt is that it is so billowy that I had to get a full pat down when we went through security at the airport. Oops. Mike calls my shirts like this my wind suits.

I think if my babies weren't sick I would've captured you so we could chat all night. It was so fun to meet (!) and hang out.
