A city snowman in Nolita.

Erin & I went to The Market a few days ago - lots of independent clothing & jewelry designers, all under one roof in Nolita. I liked it, & I want to go back there often. I picked up a favorite new ring from an Argentinian designer (to wear on days when I don't feel like something sparkly) & a simple pair of gold studs that I'll probably wear every day for the next month from Studio Duarte. Love them.

On our way there, we came across a little girl & her parents making a snowman in what is probably one of a half-dozen empty lots in New York City. I asked if I could take a photo. They asked for what, & I said Oh, for my blog! They said of course, but asked that I mention that the little girl's name is Veronica, that she is from Nolita, & that she made the snowman with the help of her mother (an actress). And the eyes? They're pennies, because Veronica's middle name is Penny. I love the coffee cup hat & the bobby pin nose.
