Moo.

(My friend the Amish cow)

I swung by Victoria's Secret today while running some errands & the nice woman who measured me (after questioning my proposed size) informed me that I am TWO CUP SIZES BIGGER than I was pre-pregnancy. Two!! I already bought new bras 9 weeks into pregnancy, & I thought that was extreme. 10+ weeks later, here I am again.

I'm sorry if those udders give you nightmares, but I feel like a porn star.

Said woman was kind enough to remind me that there are woman who have to travel across the ocean to bring home an adopted child & I should feel lucky to get to grow my own in my belly.

Honey, you need to enjoy those!! (emphasis on the enjoy as if I should go & do something naughty with my new curves).

Thanks.

And I know it is hard to imagine but they will get even bigger if you decide to nurse. Good times.

Lucky to grow your own baby or lucky to grow your own big boobs? There are women who pay a lot of money for either, right?

Yeah, I tend to make do with too-small or too-big bras during a great deal of pregnancy/early postpartum. Too expensive and too much of a hassle to be properly fitted at all times.

I couldn't handle the too-small any more Emma. I knew I was bigger, but not THAT much bigger. Let's hope they stay put until I breast feed. And then - heaven help me. Terrified.

So, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but when it's all over, they may just deflate so much you will have to go bra shopping all over again. This time for something much smaller than you ever had before pregnancy.

which, finishing julia's thought here, will be a refreshing change from the huge set of pregnancy/nursing hang-ons. at least i thought so. that was my favorite bra size.

or you could have my problem and not grow an inch during pregnancy and still loose 2 sizes afterwards. that's curious when you wouldn't think I had 2 sizes to lose. heaven help me if I choose to nurse one more time because I shrink with each baby.

enjoy them while you have them, after breastfeeding you will probably have to purchase a brand new pair.

...speaking from experience!

not looking forward to deflating. i think men notice 1/2 cup size difference, so to quadruple is distracting.

I'm in Erin and Julia's group. The small size is refreshing after pregnancy + nursing. But, it's pretty neat to watch your baby GROW and THRIVE off you alone (if you nurse) and that makes the enormous size worth it.

(And yes, I totally have pre pregnancy bras, middle pregnancy bras, end of pregnancy bras and nursing bras. aah!)
