Announcing West.

West's birth announcement went out a few weeks ago. It turned out exactly as I hoped it would, & it's one of those special pieces of paper that I'll hang on to forever.

The key to success: Doing everything ahead of time, except for the crucial details (stats) & photo, of course. It saved the stress of worrying about it after he arrived, as all we had to do was send to be printed, take & choose a photograph, & assemble + seal the envelopes. Easy (important during a time when even the easiest of tasks felt tremendous).

He had his two month appointment this morning (!!), & he sat there squirming about on the table practicing moving his arms & legs while we waited for the nurse to come in (for those dreaded shots). He's 12 pounds & I think he's a really beautiful little boy. He looks like his namesake, has a furry head of brown hair growing in & I already know he'll be sweet like his big brother. I'm suddenly so aware (all over again) how fast those first weeks, months, & years go by.
