connected.

I really love blogging. I love that my dad was able to see what was going on in my life while he was melting away in Taipai these past few days {and I love StatCounter for showing me that he checked!}. I love the ease of staying in touch with my family in various parts of the country, while still managing to run over my 700+ cell phone minutes every month. I like feeling close, when I'm actually pretty far away. I like that I've made new friends, in addition to keeping up with old ones. Hooray for blogging, text messages, email, blackberries & cell phones. I would not have done well in 1920.

Kathryn this is why I love blogging too. It makes me feel connected and not so far from my fam and loved ones when I know they are checking in on my life frequently (and I can check on theirs) and it is an added bonus to make new friends through it all. I am really horrible at the phone though so internet is essential. My husband and I are just not phone people, I think combined we use like 100 minutes a month. Crazy.

i would not have done well in 1990 with no free long distance or email for that matter.

1920 would not have suited me either. Seriously, my husband and I could not have made a long-distance relationship work had it not been for modern tech and transportation.
