Rockefeller Center said so.

It looks like Christmas is here! We battled the crowds to make it to Rockefeller Center tonight for the tree lighting- & then proceeded to leave after about 15 minutes. This was our view {the tree nicely hidden behind the building on the right}. I just don't do big, huge crowds while standing for hours in the cold. You will never find me at Times Square on New Year's. This being said, we watched it from the comfort {& warmth} of our living room couch, perfectly content, filled with no regret.

I love that all of the holiday decorations are going up. The city is so beautiful during December.

My first time I ever visited NYC was over Thanksgiving break and now I just love NYC at Christmas time- I have been thinking about it a lot lately!

I loved NYC this time of year and have some great memories of ice skating in Rockerfeller Center. I must admit though I have never braved the crowds for the tree lighting or New Years Eve. Your pictures of he beautiful lights make me wish I was there.

I'm with you! I don't do big crowds well, and I don't enjoy really a noisy environment unless it is filled with the laughter and happy sounds of my grandchildren at play. I can't get enough of that. I do love anything Christmas though...especially the lights and music. I turn it on as early as I can and listen until it is indecently into January. I love opening my boxes and taking out the well worn decorations while it's still very much November, and hate how naked the house feels when they retire after the first of the year.I also love the fireplace and the warmth and glow it gives to our home,,,,,,Right now I'm heading out there to work on my RS lesson,

Our night was very similiar last night, and really in my opinion unless you have a hook up, braving the crowds is almost never worth it!
