Why sturdy rain boots are required in New York City.

(Park Avenue & 52nd Street)

We had a rainy Saturday.

Friday morning I happened to come out of the subway station right during a downpour. I walked 1 1/2 blocks from the subway station to my office, and my shoes and pants from the knee down were completely soaked. I really need to get some boots. Where do you get yours?

Also, I might want to repost this picture on my blog. Is that ok?

And now that I'm thinking about it, what do you do when winter comes?! Do you wear ridiculous snow clothing on your commute then change when you get to work? Do you wear snow boots? I am so unprepared for this.

Rain boots - I wear Hunter Wellies. They're big & thick, & they don't let any rain in. Lots of NY's swear by them.

In the winter - I put a fleece lining in my Hunter Wellies. :) And wear leather knee-high boots most days. It's not so much fun, but we'll all make it through together. :)

Thanks for answering my question before I ask. I'm with ya, Angie, my feet are not prepared.
