Nesting @ 36 Weeks.

Please ignore the two empty picture frames (& the poorly focused top photo - it makes my brain hurt, & as soon as we have a bright & sunny day again I'm re-taking it - because I'm OCD like that). One step at a time! I'm just happy to have them purchased & hung. Actually putting something in them is secondary, & on the list for this week.

But nesting. I'm doing lots & lots of it. I love nesting! I really do. It suits me. I suppose that I've been doing it for months, but it's fun to finally have things really coming together now. This week marked the arrival of new bedding + the pillow I desperately searched for on Etsy, the search for & discovery of some new pillows for the living room couches, the purchase of a sort-of rocking chair that actually ended up looking really great, two beautiful lamps picked up from Target unexpectedly (!), the arrival of some wall art & the purchase of the bookshelf for Baby Boy's nursery. Mike is currently totally immersed in setting up our stroller in the living room (it's complicated), & I love him for this, especially as its completion will mark the end of all boxes in our living room. I put a few more things in my hospital bag today, & checked a few more things off of the to buy list thanks to Amazon. I did an initial washing of Baby Boy's clothing, bedding, & re-made his crib. I went to a night of Infant CPR earlier in the week & a full day of Infant Care & Feeding - a class that was so helpful, even if I had nightmares about breastfeeding the night after. If we have an early arrival, we'll be fine - & I'll be happy - although we have tickets to Vampire Weekend for September 13th, & I'd really like to make that if at all possible. Really though - I'm feeling ready(ish) & good!

(Good except for the fact that I woke up in a panic & gasping for breath from my post-church nap this afternoon thanks to the general feeling of suffocation that I'm continuing to feel every day. A woman at church today took one look at me & said, His head is still up!! It needs to go down! Yes, it really does. The upper regions of my abdomen are far, far too crowded.)

Oh look! I'm wearing leggings. For the 87th day in a row.

You look fantastic! I am pretty sure my 30.5 week belly is bigger then yours. Glad you are getting so much checked off your to do list.

Hi Molly! I picked up the bedding from West Elm actually. I love it! I was worried about the lower-than-I'd-prefer thread count, but the sheets are so, so, so soft. Heaven, really. :)

And the wall - it's Cobblestone Grey from Benjamin Moore.

It is really sad (for me) that we have the exact same due date and I am SO MUCH BIGGER than you! You look great!
