We play.

I think I asked like 5 people the other day what to do with a baby all day.

I mean, it's not like we just stare at each other all day. But I guess sometimes we do.

Eat, play, sleep, eat, play, sleep. The play part is fairly short & sometimes I feel short on ideas when we're at home. Lately - we have tummy time. We sing songs. We play with his mobile or with one of the few toys he has. We look at books. We make funny faces & giggle. We look out the windows at all of the buildings & I tell him all about taxi cabs, skyscrapers & Central Park. We talk about his fingers, & toes, & elbows & cheeks. Etcetera.

And then Quinn gets tired & has to take another nap.

No!! He's growing up before our eyes - Way too fast!
Soon he'll start reaching for things and then he can entertain himself better. It will happen before you know it. In the meanwhile it is a seemingly endless round of eat, play, sleep with some talking and fussing thrown in. He looks entirely content in these pictures though. Such a happy little man!

mmm hmmm. i remember that stage very well. i never knew what exactly i should be doing to "play" and i felt like a jerk if i wasn't constantly right there "playing" while the babe was awake (because they aren't awake much at that age). but actually i still struggle with what do with a baby all day long. some days are certainly longer than others.

so cute!
I always wonder the same thing about babies. I'm glad I'm not the only one :)
