Hello from The Great State of Texas.

(From the other morning, before we left.)

Q in the bottom photo - This is about we feel. House hunting is exhausting.

I've only cried about 17 times since getting here (walking through the airport & seeing the Welcome to Houston sign, pulling up to a church building yesterday & realizing it was our potential new ward, driving through a giant city & realizing over & over again that I know nothing about it etc. etc. - I've been overly dramatic, I'm sure), but I told Mike yesterday afternoon that everything is going to be okay. We have a good broker, & we have each other. Deep breaths!

Quinn is being a really great sport, we've made some really lovely connections with people, we got to see our friends the On's in The Heights yesterday +  friend Dustin brought us the best pecan pie you've ever had (with Blue Bell ice cream, hooray!). People have been absolutely wonderful & kind to us. Everyone. And the closets! My heart has literally skipped a beat several times at least. Seriously. Closets the size of our bedroom in New York.

Mike is reading to Quinn right now before his nap & just said, I'm going to read you three books instead of two! Because everything really is bigger in Texas!

True story.

My mom used to send those pies to me when I lived out of state! They come packaged so cute.

Hi! I live in the Great State of Texas. And truly, everything is bigger. Julia gave me the link to your blog because you may be moving into our ward?! (I live in the Heights, and we know the Ons. And love them.) We will love to have you here! Let us know when you're around! We'd love to meet you. And little Quinn: our babe looks to be about the same size.

House hunting! So overwhelming & exciting at the same time. Hope it is going well and you are finding little pieces of Texas to start calling home.

(And oh that pic of Q is terribly cute!)
